Positioning Rolls for the control of posture in lying The rolls assist in the control of posture in lying. They are designed for use by people who have little or no ability to move themselves or alter position. Correct use of the roll will help in the prevention of contractures, deformity and pressure sores and in the control of spasticity. It is comfortable to use in most cases and may relieve associated back pain. The T-Roll is used to control position of the body in supine lying. Pillows placed laterally along the length of the trunk lend additional support when necessary. The single roll is used to stabilise posture in side-lying. A pillow tucked in behind the trunk prevents rolling backwards.
