Raised toilet seats

The seat either clamps onto the toilet bowl or is fitted using the standard toilet seat fixings. Less flexion is required in the hips and knees if a higher seat is used, which may make it easier to sit down and stand up. However, a seat that is too high can leave a person feeling unsupported. Ideally, feet should be flat on the floor to give stability. Toilet bowls with a non traditional shape may require a raised toilet seat that fixes to the toilet via the toilet seat fixing holes or hinge or consider a toilet frame with a seat.
