Band bath lifts

Band lifts are a type of bath lift which consist of a fabric band and a wall mounted unit. One end of the fabric band slots into a floor mounted bracket beside the bath, the other end of the band passes over the bath and into the wall-fixed unit. When the band is taut a user can sit on it, and press a button which gently releases the band - so lowering the user into their bath. When the up button is pressed, the band retracts into the wall unit. As the band tightens, it will lift the user. The main benefit of band bath lifts is that they lower the user right to the bottom of the bath allowing them to immerse their body in the water and recline in the bath. However, as these lifts only consist of a band, they offer no back or trunk support and the user has to adjust his/her sitting position along the band several times during the lowering and raising process.
